The Las Vegas Urban League is a 501(c)(3) non-profit founded in 2004 and an affiliate of the National Urban League. Our mission is to empower communities and ensure equal opportunity for low-income people. The agency is governed by multi-racial tripartite board composed of elected public officials, low-income persons, and the community at-large representing business, labor, non-profit and faith-based organizations.

In 2006, the Urban League accepted the State’s request to become the Community Action Agency (CAA) for Clark County. As the CAA, the Urban League has experienced strong, strategic-driven growth by collaborating with a diverse network of stakeholders to provide public policy makers with innovative solutions to complex issues facing southern Nevada. Key initiatives include youth and education, self-sufficiency strategies to develop a skilled, productive workforce, community economic development, and inter-generational health and wellness programs.
